Taking Action
St Anselm once described theology as “faith seeking understanding”. Sometimes this is understood too narrowly as understanding the belief system of a particular Christian denomination or even sect.
For progressive Christians, faith is more than believing (or not believing) in a set of doctrines. It is about responding in faith, making leaps of faith, faithfully loving, going on a pilgrimage of faith. Hence theology is about seeking understanding in the midst of a faithful engagement with the world.
It is hoped that the pages in this section of the website will not only give you ideas for action, but also new ways of reflecting theologically on the Divine presence in the world.
