Conversion Practices Prohibition Bill

Tomorrow the Victorian Upper House will debate a Bill that would ban conversion practices (including those in religious settings), protecting countless LGBTQ+ people from enduring damaging practices which seek to suppress or change people’s sexuality or gender identity.

APVCA wish to express our support for the below letter  by Brave Network, SOGICE Survivors, Uniting Network and the LGBTQIA+ committee of the UCA, Equal Voices and Rainbow Catholics InterAgency for Ministry, Australia thanking the Victorian government for its bold support of the rights, wellbeing, and protection of LGBTQA+ Victorians, particularly LGBTQA+ people of faith and urging the government to resist calls to amend, adjust, or reduce the scope of the bill.

We urge you to express your religious support for this important bill by sharing this letter on social media and writing to your MP in the lead up to tomorrow’s upper house debate.
