From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free is a prayer ascending to heaven.

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free is a prayer ascending to heaven.

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free is a cry of resistance,

It is a cry of hope against all odds

It is a cry coming from the rubble of Gaza

It is a cry coming from the forced removals and violence of the West Bank and Jerusalem

It is a prayer and a cry feared by the Zionists and Israeli government

Is it feared because Hamas once used it? No. Hamas is no match militarily to the State of Israel and the United States.

It is feared because God has heard the prayer, just as God heard the cries of the Israelites long ago in Egypt.

God has heard the prayer, and God is answering the prayer:

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free

I was in the rubble and I heard your cries

I am steadfast in my love

I will Palestine to be just and free,

a beacon of compassion,

No more will be heard the cries of the orphans and the widows,

There will be dancing and singing and feasting,

And no more will be heard the words of war.

Today the war mongers may appear mighty,

Tomorrow they will be blown away like the mist of the morning.

I am who I am, I will be who I will be, and Palestine will be free.
